Chapter 6, the Stranger by Albert Camus

When Meursault wakes up on Sunday he doesnt glide by well, only when hes agreed to go get wind with Marie and Raymond. Marie tries to cheer Meursault up and jokes that he looks like a lamenter at a funeral. Meursault admits to look limp. Standing outside on the street, the sun glares into Meursaults eyes. Marie is in good spirits, however, and soon Meursault is soupcon better. Raymond arrives wearing a straw hat, looking very dapper, and Meursault is put off by his getup. Meursault recalls going to the police chance on the night before to testify for Raymond. The police did not hold in Meursaults statement and they let Raymond off with just a warning. On the way to the bus stop they notice a group of Arab men staring at them. Raymond says that unitary of them is his daughters comrade. Marie nervously urges them on to the bus stop. They arrive at the beach and Marie is in good spirits again. She happily swings her take as they flip along by the water. They arrive at Raymonds friend Massons beach house. Raymond ¬introduces Masson and his wife to Meursault and Marie. Marie and Mme. Masson crawl in and talk unneurotic, and Meursault indicates that he is seriously considering marrying Marie. Meursault and Marie go swimming unneurotic and have an enjoyable time.

They return to Massons bungalow, drink wine, and guttle a big lunch. Meursault starts to feel slightly drunk. He duologue about possibly spending the month of August on the beach with Masson and Raymond.
